A man from Perak has won a whopping RM23 million by betting on his family’s car license plate numbers in the Toto 4D Jackpot. The 49-year-old chicken wholesale businessman used the Toto 4D Jackpot game system to bet on five sets of 4D numbers derived from individual car plate numbers.
The lucky winner, who wished to remain anonymous, said he began betting on the license plate numbers of all the cars under his family’s name three months ago after his youngest son bought a brand new car. He said he thought it would be a fun way to bet on the numbers and chose to bet on the license plate numbers of five cars belonging to his family.
“4147 and 9590” were the car plate numbers of his two sons and lucky 4D number combinations that hit the first prize of the Toto 4D Jackpot. Since he bet with System 5, he won not only the jackpot prize of RM22,991,136.80 but also other prizes, totaling RM1,008.
“When I saw the first three prizes of the Toto 4D game draw these two sets of winning 4D numbers, I was so shocked that I couldn’t speak,” said the winner, who came forward to collect his winnings. “I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep until I came to claim the prize.”
The winner, who plans to use the windfall once the winnings are safely deposited into his bank account, said he was overjoyed and grateful for his good fortune. His win has also created a buzz in the lottery industry and among lottery enthusiasts in Malaysia.
The Toto 4D Jackpot is a popular lottery game in Malaysia that draws twice a week. Players must select four-digit numbers from 0000 to 9999 to stand a chance to win the jackpot. The game also offers consolation prizes for those who miss the jackpot but match some of the winning numbers.
