Petaling Jaya, 17th – In a strong stance against online casino Malaysia, Selangor Police Chief Dato Hu Xian has mandated that all police chiefs and police chiefs sign a letter of integrity, known as “Aku Janji,” to intensify efforts in combating illegal online gambling. Failure to comply with this commitment will result in disciplinary action or reassignment.
Dato Hu Xian made this announcement during an interview with journalists following his participation in the Sunway City Crime Prevention Awareness Campaign launch held at Sunway University earlier today.
Highlighting the ongoing actions of Selangor State Police against online gambling within their jurisdiction, Dato Hu Xian emphasized the importance of targeting and dismantling the operations of internet gambling centers.
He further revealed that each police chief and police chief in Selangor has signed a pledge of integrity, affirming their dedication to eradicating online gambling within their respective areas of responsibility.
Those who fail to uphold the commitments outlined in the pledge will face disciplinary measures or potential reassignment to other departments, as deemed appropriate.
The event was attended by notable figures including Tan Sri Cheah Fulian, founder and chairman of Sunway Group, Dato’ Seri Ayub, senior vice chairman of the Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF), and Huang Meishi, Subang Jaya state councilor, among others.
In a related development, Dato’ Seri Ayur Kan, Director of Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, recently held a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Police Headquarters, emphasizing that every police chief has signed the letter of guarantee. It serves as a reminder that failure to proactively combat illegal online gambling will not be tolerated.
The efforts undertaken by Selangor Police Chiefs reflect their commitment to maintaining law and order, safeguarding communities, and ensuring a secure and responsible digital environment for the residents of Selangor.
