A popular dice gambling game called “Hi-Lo” has taken Thailand by storm. It is a simple game where gamblers bet on the sum of the points of three dice, with numbers between 11 and 18 being big and numbers between 3 and 10 being small. However, it is illegal in Thailand, and those caught participating can face fines and even imprisonment.
Despite the risks, one Thai man took cheating to a new level by burying two magnets under his skin in his left hand, one in his middle finger and one in his ring finger, for as long as 40 years. The magnets would allow him to cheat and manipulate the dice for his benefit.
Recently, the man faced a new problem when he wanted to travel abroad by plane. He was afraid that the metal detection equipment at the airport would expose his cheating tactic, so he went to the hospital for help.
The doctor first determined the location of the magnets and then cut the side of the finger to remove them. The doctor then sutured the incision back up, and the man was able to board the plane without triggering any alarms.
After sharing the case on the internet, the post quickly went viral, with netizens expressing their opinions about the man’s actions. Some praised his ingenuity, while others criticized him for cheating. Experts also chimed in, warning that implanting magnets in fingers can affect the magnets in the dice, potentially leading to different points and affecting the outcome of the game.
While the man was able to successfully cheat for 40 years, it is important to note that cheating in any form is illegal and unethical. The Thai government continues to crack down on illegal gambling, and those caught breaking the law will face consequences.
