Thailand: A man named Patthawikorn Boonin has recently won the lottery using the AI chat robot ChatGPT. Boonin had previously entered the winning lottery numbers of the past 10 years into ChatGPT and received a set of numbers to play. Surprisingly, one of these numbers led him to win 2,000 baht (approximately RM275).
Boonin shared his success story on Facebook, revealing that he had relied on ChatGPT’s number calculation to win the lottery. The winning numbers announced at the time were 57, 27, 29 and 99. Boonin had played the number 99, and it resulted in him winning the lottery. He jokingly remarked, “It’s time to pray to the robot!”
While many people believe that Boonin’s win was a matter of chance, he clarified that he had asked ChatGPT for lottery numbers many times before. However, ChatGPT had always replied that the numbers were unpredictable and even advised him not to gamble. In the end, Boonin decided to analyze the hypothetical situation and the winning data of the past 10 years to come up with the number 99.
Despite the skepticism of some, Boonin’s story underscores the growing influence of AI in daily life and its potential to change the way people engage in various activities. While ChatGPT only guessed one number, the use of AI in decision-making is becoming increasingly common, especially in industries like finance and healthcare.
As AI technology continues to advance, it is likely that we will see more and more applications of it in our daily lives, whether it be in entertainment, business, or personal decision-making. The story of Boonin and ChatGPT winning the lottery is just one example of how AI is changing the world we live in.
